Locum Ready is looking for Locum Practice Nurses in Ystrad Mynach. This opportunity offers flexible sessional work across various primary care services, providing options for nurses experienced in treatment room duties, chronic disease management and preventative health clinics.
You will support multiple primary care teams through a mix of routine procedures, long-term condition reviews and general nursing tasks. Each service provides clear protocols and structured workflows, ensuring a consistent and well-supported working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering treatment room clinics including wound care and dressings
- Supporting chronic disease management within established care plans
- Carrying out immunisations for adults and children (if trained)
- Undertaking smear tests where cytology-trained
- Performing NHS Health Checks and lifestyle assessments
- Recording accurate clinical notes for each service
- Assisting with general nursing duties as required
Requirements
- NMC-registered Nurse with primary care experience
- Immunisation and cytology training beneficial
- Confident in routine nursing tasks and treatment room clinics
- Able to adapt to different clinical teams and service structures
