Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for flexible sessional work across primary care clinic settings in Ellesmere. This role provides structured sessions within well-supported GP clinics, ideal for NPs confident in delivering autonomous minor illness assessments and routine primary care duties.
You will support local primary care teams by managing acute presentations, carrying out routine assessments and contributing to day-to-day clinical operations. Each service offers clear clinical pathways to support safe and effective practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Running autonomous NP-led clinics within primary care settings
- Managing minor illness and undifferentiated presentations
- Conducting face-to-face and telephone triage
- Prescribing safely within scope of practice (if qualified)
- Completing clinical follow-up actions including results and medication queries
- Maintaining accurate digital clinical documentation
Requirements
- Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant experience
- Independent Prescribing qualification desirable
- Strong minor illness and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to different practice environmentsFamiliarity with EMIS Web or SystmOne
- Enhanced DBS clearance
