Salary & Flexibility
Typical lesson rates average around £38 per hour, supporting a strong income whether you work part‑time or full‑time. You decide when you work – mornings, evenings, weekends, or a full‑time diary.
Local Work, Less Travel
Most instructors teach within 30 minutes of home, typically covering 6–8 postcodes. This maximises teaching time and reduces travel.

After passing DVSA Part 2 you can apply for a trainee licence, allowing you to begin teaching and earning sooner while completing the final stage of qualification. Our new Training Academy provides a structured route through DVSA Parts 1, 2 and 3, combining:
- Flexible online learning for theory and preparation
- In‑car coaching to build driving and teaching ability
- Lesson plans, resources and ongoing support to help you succeed
We can support you with access to dual‑control car options through established providers, including new and nearly‑new models such as Ford Puma, Renault Clio, MG3 and Vauxhall Corsa (subject to availability).
Responsibilities
Help learners gain independence, improve road safety, and experience the satisfaction of seeing students pass and succeed.
Qualifications & Fees
Hold a full UK driving licence for at least 3 years. All instructors pay for training. Training fees can be paid back in full after you have worked with us for 1 year.
