Our engineers no longer type most of the code. Claude Code and Codex do. The hard part now is knowing what to build, how it should fit together, and whether what the agent wrote is actually right. We are looking for a founding product engineer who works at that level: you talk to customers, design the system, and direct AI agents to build it. We do not care which programming language you know.

The Role

  • Talk to Customers: Join calls with property managers and revenue managers, find the real problem behind each request, and decide what we should build and what we should not.
  • Own the Architecture: Decide where logic lives, how data flows, and which place is the single source of truth for each fact. Keep the system simple as it grows across Booking.com, Airbnb and PMS integrations.
  • Direct the Agents: Turn a problem into a clear brief, run several Claude Code and Codex sessions in parallel, and review their output for design, not just passing tests.
  • Catch What the Agent Missed: Spot the change that works but is wrong: duplicated logic, a fix in the wrong layer, a patch where the root cause needed fixing. Improve the guides and checks that keep our agents on track.
  • Ship to Production: Take features from a customer call to live on real portfolios, then check they do what the customer needed.

The Logistics

  • Hybrid: 2 days a week in our Canary Wharf office in London. The office days are mandatory.
  • Salary: Up to £90k (depending on experience).
  • Equity: Up to 1% in options (4-year vesting).

Who You Are

  • Architect: You think in systems: boundaries, data flow, and the design patterns that keep a codebase simple. You can explain why a design is right, not just that it works.
  • Product-minded: You enjoy talking to customers and turning a vague complaint into the right change. You care about revenue impact, not what is technically interesting.
  • AI-native: You already ship most of your work by directing Claude Code, Codex or similar, often several agents at once. You write precise briefs and can tell when an agent is confidently wrong. If you do not already work this way, this is not the role for you.
  • Strong foundations: Any language. You know the fundamentals, such as single source of truth, separation of concerns and good naming, well enough to notice when code you did not write breaks them.
  • Pragmatic: You ship the simplest thing that solves the problem well.
  • Big bonus: You have worked on hotels, short-term rentals or dynamic pricing before.

Interview Process

  1. 30 minute non-technical call with the CTO.
  2. 1 hour live session with the founding team. You walk us through something you shipped with AI agents, design the solution to a real customer problem from our codebase, write the brief you would give Claude Code or Codex, then review an AI-written change and tell us what it got wrong. No take-home.
  3. Meet both founders in person at our Canary Wharf office.
  4. Offer.

Why This Role?

  • The Right Altitude: You spend your time on design, customers and judgement. The agents do the typing.
  • Real Impact: Your work changes live prices and promotions on real customers' Booking.com and Airbnb listings.
  • High Equity: 1% is a good chunk for our stage.
  • Hard Problems: Booking.com and Airbnb private APIs, PMS integrations, an MCP connector for Claude and ChatGPT, and pricing decisions that move real money.
