Kitchen Assistant at Towy Castle Care Home, Carmarthen

8am – 7pm | 3 days on, 3 days off

We’re looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team at Towy Castle Care Home. Food is a big part of life at Towy Castle. A good meal, a favourite pudding or even just a decent cup of tea can make someone’s day and you’ll be part of the team making that happen.

Working alongside our Chef and kitchen team, you’ll help keep everything prepped, clean, organised and running smoothly so we can provide our residents with tasty, nutritious meals they genuinely enjoy. The role includes food preparation, serving meals and drinks, washing up, cleaning, putting deliveries away and following food hygiene and safety procedures.

What’s the shift?

  • This is a permanent 36-hour contract, working:
  • 8am – 7pm
  • 3 days on, 3 days off

The rota will include some weekends and public holidays.

Do I need experience?

Kitchen or catering experience would definitely be helpful but it isn’t essential. We’re much more interested in finding someone who is reliable, positive, happy to muck in and takes pride in keeping things clean and organised. A Food Safety & Hygiene Level 2 qualification would be great too.
