Small home. Big opportunity to make a difference.
We’re looking for an experienced Registered Home Manager to lead Springfield, our welcoming six-bed residential home supporting people with learning disabilities.
Springfield has an excellent reputation and a real homely feel. Being a smaller service means you’ll have the opportunity to genuinely know the people you support, work closely with your team and have a real influence on everyday life within the home.
We’re looking for someone who knows learning disability services, can confidently lead a team and understands what it takes to run a safe, compliant and well-led home while always keeping the people we support at the heart of it.
The Manager We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a manager who is visible, approachable and involved.
Someone who takes the time to know the people they support, builds positive relationships with families and professionals and creates a team culture where people feel supported to do their best work.
You’ll be confident managing the operational and regulatory responsibilities of the home, while remaining connected to everyday life at Springfield.
You’ll need:
-
Previous management experience within a learning disability setting.
-
Strong leadership and people management skills.
-
Good knowledge of safeguarding, relevant legislation and care standards.
-
Experience with person-centred care planning and quality assurance.
-
Confidence managing staffing, performance and day to day service delivery.
-
Strong communication and relationship building skills.
-
A compassionate, positive and genuinely person-centred approach.
- A Level 5 Health and Social Care qualification or equivalent is desirable.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
As Registered Home Manager, you’ll take overall responsibility for the day to day running and development of Springfield, including:
-
Leading, supporting and developing your staff team.
-
Maintaining high standards of person centred care, safeguarding and compliance.
-
Ensuring the people we support are encouraged to maintain their independence, choices and individual outcomes.
-
Overseeing care plans, risk assessments and quality standards.
-
Managing recruitment, supervision, appraisals and staff performance.
-
Ensuring safe staffing levels and effective rotas.
-
Building strong relationships with families, professionals and other stakeholders.
-
Managing budgets and monitoring the overall performance of the service.
-
Overseeing medication management and health related needs.
-
Participating in the home’s on call rota.
It’s a varied role, part leader, part coach, part problem solver and, most importantly, an advocate for the people you support.
