MWP are looking for a Senior Civil Water Services Engineer to join our growing Water Services Team.
We are an established multi-disciplinary engineering and environmental consultancy with offices in London and throughout Ireland.
This role will suit a candidate with eight years plus, postgraduate experience, who will be rewarded with an attractive remuneration package, and the opportunity to work on challenging and varied projects, within a close-knit team of engaging individuals. Role
- The overseeing and preparation of Preliminary designs reports for both Private and Public Clients inclusive of D+B Contracts.
- The preparation of detailed tender documents, scope of works, specifications and pricing documents.
- The Supervision and Contract Administration of Water Services projects throughout the UK.
The Successful candidate must have
- Have a minimum 8+ years post graduate experience in Civil Engineering.
- Must have attained or working towards Chartered Status.
- Have experience in a wide variety of Water Services Projects including Network design, pumping stations, WWTP, Rising mains and Fire protection Projects.
- Experience working with Irish and/or UK Water Authorities
- Have experience in the use of Micro-drainage/Causeway, Civil 3D and GIS or similar.
- Ideally have knowledge of government/public contracts and others such as NEC and FIDIC.
- Experience in flood risk management, fluvial hydraulic modelling or hydrology would be an advantage.
- Current experience of leading, managing and running, Civil engineering design projects, preferably in the consultancy sector.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of current codes of practice and design standards.
- Proactive, a good communicator with the ability to lead others in a multi-disciplinary project team.
- Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal skills, and good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines.
