Civil, Structural and Engineering Discipline
This is a great opportunity for a highly experienced civil/structural engineer with a proven track record in project delivery, team development, work winning, and client management. The position is based in London Canary Wharf, where our UK MWP Offices deliver work at local, national, and global levels.
This is an exciting time for MWP as we expand our global business. We are experiencing steady growth with an expanding pipeline of projects across London, establishing a significant presence in the London Design and Construction industry.
You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals on exciting projects both nationally and internationally. You should be skilled in engaging with clients and other professionals at the project inception stage, and use your engineering expertise to contribute to emerging design concepts.
Specific Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of design in Reinforced Concrete Construction.
- Proficient in the current Eurocodes, especially BSEN 1992 (Eurocode 2).
- Experience in designing concrete structures.
- Strong working knowledge of Structural Analysis Software such as SCIA, TEKLA, or similar.
- Experience in assessing existing structures and their justification, as well as new build designs.
- Good understanding of standard engineering practices, techniques, procedures, and structural principles.
- Experience leading, managing, and executing structural engineering design projects.
- Broad experience in building structures across various market sectors, with a proven ability to develop structural design concepts and deliver design schemes.
- Coaching and mentoring skills.
- Understanding of project management principles and practices.
- Emerging leadership skills, including business development, client relationship management, technical leadership, team building, and motivation.
- Knowledge of construction contracts, professional agreements, fee preparation, and scope of services agreement.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing compelling proposals and delivering engaging presentations to clients.
