About the role

We’re looking for a customer-focused and organised operations professional to support our Abacus wholesale accounts. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help manage orders, resolve service issues, coordinate with internal teams, and keep customers informed to ensure a smooth and responsive service.

Location: Northampton (Hybrid)

Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the day-to-day operational activity for Abacus accounts
  • Monitor orders, shipments, stock issues, and service queries to ensure timely resolution
  • Manage out-of-stocks, back orders, delays, and other supply issues, providing clear updates to customers and stakeholders
  • Work closely with teams across inventory, procurement, finance, customer service, logistics, and account management
  • Produce KPI and service performance reporting, identifying trends and areas for improvement
  • Contribute to process improvements and support a high standard of customer service.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in logistics, customer service, wholesale operations, order management, or supply chain support
  • A strong customer service mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Good understanding of stock availability, back orders, delivery issues, and general operational processes
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
  • Confidence working across teams to resolve issues and maintain service levels
  • Experience using ERP, order management, or reporting systems would be an advantage
