Job Details:
This role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business.
Location: Chessington
Working Pattern: 08:00-16:30, Monday to Friday/40 hours
Summary of Role: To accurately sort & distribute orders received into transport into correct van routes and areas on the night shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately checking orders/totes from drop sheets paying special attention to route, according to procedures. All missing orders/totes must be recorded and notified to a Line Manager.
- Ensure orders/totes are allocated to pallet/route cage.
- Prioritise orders/totes by route departure time.
- Loading vehicles as per instructions, ensuring that all bins, boxes, bags are loaded in the vehicle in a safe manner.
- Ensuring all loads are secure, following the correct load security processes.
- Ensuring that all pallets and cages are stored correctly and bins, boxes, bags are stacked in a safe manner.
- Ensure all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to.
- Any other tasks required by management.
- Ensuring empty totes are sorted correctly.
- Safe transfer of orders to loading bays.
- Re-pick of missing orders where relevant.
Skills Knowledge and Experience:
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to communicate well with others.
- Good visual accuracy, numeracy and communication skills.
- Committed to working in a hazard-free, world class health and safety environment.
- Any previous experience working in a warehouse environment would be highly desirable and any experience driving a Counterbalance forklift truck.
