About the Role

Are you an experienced Transport Controller or Coordinator looking for your next challenge? World Courier — a global leader in specialty logistics and temperature-controlled supply chain solutions — is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Transport Controller to join our Domestic Desk team at our Feltham site. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role at the heart of our UK operations, where no two days are the same. You'll be the crucial link between our drivers, agents, and internal teams — ensuring time-sensitive and temperature-controlled consignments are collected and delivered seamlessly, every time.

Key Details

  • Location: Feltham (Fully On-Site)
  • Hours: 8.5 hours per shift with a 30-minute break (40 hours per week)
  • Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday rotating shifts between 4:00am – 8:00pm
  • Weekend working and overtime as required
  • Please note: this role requires airport security clearance and a DBS check prior to starting

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and allocating collections and deliveries across a fleet of drivers and domestic agents
  • Communicating all relevant consignment information to drivers and stakeholders clearly and efficiently
  • Monitoring emails, mobile communications, our Transport Management System (TMS)
  • Updating and tracking consignments on our internal system
  • Downloading and distributing temperature monitor data for customer service analysis
  • Preparing specialist packaging and temperature-controlled consignments, and managing packaging stock levels
  • Working closely with the Duty Controller and Department Lead Team to keep the Domestic Desk running to the highest standard
  • Driving when required to support the wider team
  • General administration including filing and paperwork.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • A proven background in Transport Coordination, Transport Planning, or a similar Controller role
  • Experience in routing and transport planning for drivers
  • A road freight or logistics background
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to prioritise, multitask, and stay calm under pressure
  • A flexible attitude — this role involves shift work and occasional last-minute coverage
  • A valid driving licence
  • Willingness to undergo airport security clearance and a DBS check

Desirable:

  • Experience in customs, import/export operations
  • A background in temperature-controlled logistics
