This role is in support of Cencora's global logistics and storage services marketed through our World Courier business. The Senior Import Agent is responsible for supporting all aspects of daily import operations, from initial enquiry through to shipment recovery and final clearance, ensuring shipments are handled in a compliant, timely, and professional manner. The role requires a strong understanding of World Courier’s SOPs, written guidance, customs clearance processes, CDS, and customs declarations for both air and road freight. The successful candidate will have strong decision-making and communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and experience liaising with clients, service providers, regulatory bodies, other World Courier offices, internal departments, Border Force, Port Health, and local customs authorities. A flexible and adaptable approach is essential due to the changing nature of customs regulations, alongside a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy, compliance, and customer service.
This role will be based on a working pattern of 8.5 hours per day on a 40 hour working week, between Monday to Sunday, 6 am – midnight. There will be some flexibility on the days of work and core times worked. This can be discussed further at interview.
Responsibilities will include:
- Comply with World Courier Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), which contain specific instructions to take the steps concerning the reception and shipment of materials.
- Compare the material received with the documentation forwarded in order to certify concordance or disagreement.
- Prepare box contents according to what’s described on WC Packing List.
- Perform activities on the Operative System CTM-STAR related to the Inbound, Outbound, Return and Relocation processes.
- Carry out relabeling, stock, balance and relocations processes developed at the Facility.
