Job Purpose: To ensure all incoming stock is accurately checked, correct information recorded and its safe transportation to the relevant area. All staff are expected to understand the principles of Good Distribution Practice of Medicinal Products for Human Use (2013/C 68/01) which is reflected in our SOP – REF Chapter 1 AHDL GDP 1.1. It will be a requirement for all staff to be trained in this SOP and have an annual refresher. All other GDP training will be job specific and as per your personal training matrix.

Key Accountabilities

  • Achieving the agreed productivity level.
  • Accounting for all incoming stock, ensuring the following procedures are applied:
    • a) Out of stocks lists are checked and items prioritised on receipt.
    • b) Checking product description and pack size is correct.
    • c) Checking product for damage and expiry date.
    • d) Counting product and accurately recording on paperwork.
    • e) Passing completed paperwork to Goods In Office.
  • Reporting to Team Leader any other matters or queries.
  • Ensuring housekeeping standards for inside and outside bays are maintained at all times.
  • Ensuring all Health & Safety standards are met.
  • Awareness of company security by ensuring all delivery drivers wait outside.
  • To carry out any reasonable requests as determined by Branch Management.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:

Essential

  • High Visual Accuracy
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Basic written communication skills
  • Basic Numeracy and Literacy
  • Customer care

Desirable

  • Any previous experience of working in a warehouse environment would be highly desirable.

Manual Handling

It should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are “essential requirements” of this role.
