What you will do

The Multi-Drop Service Centre Delivery Driver is responsible for the speedy, efficient, and accurate delivery of assembled products and invoices to customers, ensuring a high standard of service and full compliance with corporate guidelines.

  • Maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, complying with speed limits, traffic signs, and ensuring consideration for other road users.
  • Conduct daily vehicle checks to confirm roadworthiness, including lights, brakes, coolant, and other essential elements.
  • Report faults, breakdowns, accidents, or delays promptly.
  • Maintain the internal and external cleanliness and condition of the vehicle.
  • Ensure sufficient fuel is obtained for the day’s duties.
  • Maintain the security of the vehicle and all contents at all times.
  • Check all orders listed on the ePOD terminal (dropsheets) and confirm all items are correctly loaded.
  • Collect returned goods, mail, or delivery bins and return them safely as instructed by branch management.
  • Follow correct procedures for handling damages or breakages, including HazChem requirements.
  • Present a professional and smart appearance at all times.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships and represent the business professionally.
  • Undertake additional duties as defined by management.
  • Meet all Health & Safety requirements, including mandatory manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending.

Education

  • Intermediate numeracy and literacy skills.

Certifications

  • Valid full driving licence relevant to the vehicle being driven.

Work Experience

  • Previous multi-drop delivery driving experience.
  • Route planning experience (desirable).

Skills and Knowledge

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer care skills.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Ability to plan and organise daily workload effectively.
  • Ability to comply with safety procedures and vehicle maintenance checks.

Work Environment

  • Regular interaction with external customers.
  • Frequent liaison with other drivers and transport team members.
