- Working Pattern: Monday to Thursday: 11:00am - 6:00pm; Friday: 9:30am - 6:00pm
The Role
We are looking for a Transport Administration Clerk to support our busy Transport Department. This role is responsible for providing accurate administrative support, managing transport-related queries, and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the department. You'll work closely with Customer Services, Management, and Transport teams to resolve issues, coordinate deliveries, and maintain accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and respond to transport and delivery-related queries via the department mailbox.
- Process exceptional and emergency orders, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Maintain records, spreadsheets, and department reports.
- Investigate proof of delivery (POD) and missing item queries.
- Liaise with Customer Services and other departments to resolve issues efficiently.
- Coordinate bookings and transport requests for key customers.
- Escalate and delegate queries to the appropriate teams when required.
- Provide general administrative support to the Transport Department.
About You
- Previous administration experience in a busy office, transport, logistics, or warehouse environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive, proactive approach with good problem-solving skills.
- Transport or fleet administration experience is advantageous but not essential.
