Summary of Role
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Multi Drop Delivery Driver to join our Transport team in Avonmouth. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and accurate delivery of products to customers while providing excellent service and maintaining high standards of vehicle care, compliance and professionalism. As a key representative of the business, you will play an important role in maintaining customer satisfaction, ensuring deliveries are completed on time, and adhering to all relevant Health & Safety and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements.
Responsibilities
- Deliver products accurately and efficiently to customers in line with company procedures and service standards.
- Maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, complying with speed limits, road traffic regulations and safe driving practices.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks to ensure roadworthiness, including lights, brakes, fluids and general condition.
- Report vehicle faults, breakdowns, accidents, incidents or delivery delays promptly.
- Ensure the vehicle remains clean, presentable and well maintained internally and externally.
- Load deliveries accurately and check all orders against delivery documentation before departure.
- Collect returns, delivery bins, cheques and other items, ensuring their safe return to branch.
- Maintain vehicle and product security at all times while supporting excellent customer relationships.
Skills and Knowledge
Essential
- Full UK driving licence appropriate for the vehicle being driven.
- Must be aged 21 or over for insurance purposes.
- Excellent customer service and customer care skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Ability to work safely and follow Health & Safety procedures.
- Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to complete and maintain GDP training requirements.
Desirable
- Previous multi-drop delivery driving experience.
- Route planning experience.
- Experience working within a customer-facing delivery environment.
- Knowledge of transport, logistics or distribution operations.
