As MWH Treatment embarks on its new journey as one of Northumbrian Water’s (NWL) capital delivery partners (part of NWL’s new Living Water Enterprise Organisation), we are looking to strengthen our Engineering team with a Senior Process Engineer at various career levels. Based predominantly in the Essex & Suffolk region, you will report directly to the Regional Discipline Lead (Process) or the Senior Design Manager. This role will require traveling to other MWH regions initially to embed and support your career within the MWH Treatment culture.
Our programme of work, across a variety of water and wastewater schemes, is expected to be in the region of £280M.

As Senior Process Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Producing high-quality process design documents and drawings, such as process calculations, P&IDs, PFDs, Control Philosophy, considering health & safety requirements, specifications, and standards;
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and client standards on each project;
- Conducting and coordinating Process Safety studies, a critical element of our design and client requirements;
- Collaborating with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, EICA, environmental) to produce complete project designs;
- Supporting other disciplines in their design production and technical specifications related to process and Process Safety, fostering trust and synergy within the team;
- Providing active support to delivery, commissioning, and management teams on technical issues with effective solutions;
- Reporting feedback to the Regional Discipline Lead and the Design Manager for each project;
- Designing solutions considering overall costs, including design time, materials, erection, and impact on other disciplines;
- Assisting the design manager with deliverables at various design stages;
- Mentoring graduates and supporting their development;
- Maintaining files and records throughout contracts;
- Promoting a culture prioritizing customer satisfaction, benefiting end users and internal departments;
- Ensuring all design aspects adhere to health and safety requirements.
