We are looking to strengthen our Operations team with a site-based Mechanical Fitter in the United Utilities region. You will report directly to the Mechanical Site Manager and your role will be to undertake the inspection and routine maintenance of installed assets in line with UU and manufacturers' requirements, pipe fitting and assisting with site integration. You will be joining an existing Mechanical team based at Oswestry WTW in the UU region; some short distance travelling may be required.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Tagging and logging of assets installed using digital applications on phone/tablet for monitoring of assets.
  • Working on various assets including, but not exclusively, valves, pumps, sludge presses, picket thickeners and UV systems.
  • Working with a variety of materials (ductile, plastics, carbon steel).
  • Working to company SHEQ standards at all times.

About You

Essential:

  • Water/Wastewater industry experience
  • Driving Licence
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Safety critical medical required for confined spaces and working at height
  • Minimum site card requirements are CSCS and EUSR water hygiene for access to site.

Desirable:

  • NVQ2 / ONC or equivalent
  • PASMA, EUSR Water Hygiene, Confined Space, Abrasive Wheels, Manual Handling, MEWP - Training can also be provided for these.
