MWH Treatment are looking for Plant operators for Oswestry on the United Utilities framework on a contract basis.

You will report directly to the Lead Site Supervisor and your role will carry out site activities in the most efficient manner, to the specification and within the contract time without risk to the health and safety of all concerned and providing a quality product to the client..

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Responsibility for process monitoring of the new plant
  • Daily monitoring of the process operating parameters (MLSS, SSVI, final effluent analyses, sludge thickener performance, sludge, chemicals)
  • Daily monitoring of equipment (oxidation ditch (inducers, blowers, instruments, ferric, caustic, sludge thickeners, etc)
  • Monitoring of analysers, recalibration of instruments, ordering of reagents
  • Adjustment of process parameters to maintain performance
  • Reporting to Advance Plus process commissioning engineer
  • Consultation with client, suppliers and Advance Plus process team
  • Regular meetings with UU re progress, performance, etc
  • Daily logs
  • Ordering of chemicals as required (including ferric, caustic, poly, reagents, cuvettes for sampling analyses)
  • Taking deliveries of chemicals
  • Assisting Advance Plus team with shutdowns, access, etc

About You

Essential:
You will be a skilled and experienced plant operator
Experience of working in the water sector within construction.
Proven track record with delivery of a range of small to large sized schemes in a safe conscious manner.
