We are looking to strengthen our Delivery team with a Project Manager based in the Thames region with hybrid working available. You will report directly to the Senior Project Manager or Operations Manager and your role will be responsible for overseeing mainly electrical & ICA dominated water-related projects, but may also include associated civils & mechanical works, from conception to completion to ensure that they meet technical specifications, safety standards, schedule and budgetary constraints. This includes managing teams, coordinating resources, and liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers to deliver successful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensuring H&S, environmental regulations are adhered to at all times.
- Maintaining a high standard of Quality on site i.e. Workmanship and Materials installed.
- Developing, implementing and managing the overall Construction Phase Plan.
- Developing, implementing and managing the Project Quality Plan (PQP) and where applicable Inspection & Test Plan (ITP).
- Developing, implementing and managing the project Construction Programme (inclusive of Testing and Commissioning activities) in line with project Budgets.
- Developing, implementing and managing the project H&S Plan & Traffic Management Plan.
- Managing Technical Submittal and RFI process in accordance with the Contract requirements.
- Monitoring our progress and the progress of others in accordance with the agreed project schedule and issuing Notifications where required.
- Progress reporting against Environmental, Health, Safety, Quality, Schedule and Cost objectives.
- Building Client relationships at all times. Developing trust.
- Liaising with all sides of Project Team and directly with the Customer.
- Project Cost Control and agreed profit margin to be delivered.
- Managing & implementing agreed change with both Client & sub-contractors.
- Material, plant and equipment procurement in accordance with procurement schedule and project Budgets.
- Managing in-directs and direct labour in accordance with Schedule and including Specialist Sub-contractor procurement and management.
- Managing Testing and Commissioning schedule to achieve agreed target.
- Managing project documentation and O&M Manual production in accordance with agreed schedule and programme milestone dates.
- Building a strong and cohesive team and identifying future 'Stars'.
- Ensuring electrical safe working practices are correctly managed.
About You:
Essential:
- 5 - 7 years previous experience in Project Management with a recognised Electrical trade contractor.
- Proven record of co-ordinating and managing large design & build electrical projects.
- Experienced dealing with Labour Management.
- H&S Knowledge and application.
- Experienced in complex Electrical Services work.
- Good I.T Skills.
- An understanding of the sequencing of Factory/Site Acceptance Testing.
- An understanding of Electrical Safety Rules/Safe Systems of Works and the associated discipline required for commissioning energisation.
Desirable:
- Chartered with an engineering, commercial, or construction institution.
- NEC Project Manager Accreditation.
