We are looking to strengthen our Fleet Department with a Fleet Administrator based at Hattersley with hybrid working available. You will report directly to the Senior Fleet Co-ordinator and your role will play an integral part of supporting and managing our busy fleet department including involvement in multiple projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting day-to-day requirements with suppliers.
  • Maintaining driver records and ensuring accurate fleet information.
  • Providing cover for the Fleet team during periods of annual leave or absence.
  • Maximising fleet utilisation through effective reallocation and timely off-hire of surplus vehicles.
  • Arranging temporary hire vehicles as required.
  • Issuing fuel cards and monitoring usage to ensure compliance with policy.
  • Validating invoices and ensuring timely payment.
  • Administering traffic offences, accidents and insurance claims in line with statutory requirements, and minimising costs.
  • Supporting the occupational road risk programme for company and driver-owned vehicles.
  • Compiling metrics and reports in Excel.
  • Providing fleet data to stakeholders to support effective fleet management.
  • Delivering a high level of customer service across the business.
  • Promoting a positive, solution-oriented approach, providing open and honest feedback.
  • Undertaking other duties, training, or working hours reasonably required, in line with the role’s level of responsibility.
  • Representing the department in a professional and positive manner, building constructive and mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Ensuring appropriate confidentiality is maintained in accordance with GDPR requirements.

About You

Essential

  • Qualifications – Grade C or above in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
  • Communication skills – high standard of written and verbal communication.
  • IT skills – good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, intermediate Excel experience/knowledge.
  • Work ethic – self-motivated, flexible, and reliable with strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Personal attributes – excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask, while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Good administration experience.

Desirable

  • Experience within a fleet department.
  • Technical administration experience.
