The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

We are looking to strengthen our Site team with a General Operative based at Knapp Mill. You will report directly to the Site Manager/Construction Manager and your role will carry out site activities in the most efficient manner, to the specification and within the contract time without risk to the health and safety of all concerned and providing a quality product to the client.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Carry out all works to ensure that it is carried out in accordance with Method Statements and Risk Assessments ensuring Health, Safety and Quality company procedures are always followed.
  • Support the Site Manager in maintaining a high level of safe working environment for all employees, supply chain, partners, and visitors.
  • Check that all relevant documents adequately describe the work to be carried out.
  • Review and comment on Method Statements & Risk Assessments including Work Instructions as required by the Site Manager.
  • Record all non-conformance and improvement opportunities and agree action with Site Manager / General Foreman.
  • Ensure all works are undertaken within specification and quality as required by the client.
  • Carry out all works within a timely manner in line with the project programme.

Essential:

  • Experience of working in the water sector within construction.
  • EUSR Blue Water Card.
  • First aid qualification.
  • HSG47 Trained in underground service avoidance.
  • SEATS environmental awareness.
  • Proven track record with delivery of a range of small to large sized schemes in a safe conscious manner.
