We are looking to strengthen our Construction team with a Site Setting Out Engineer, site based at Brancote STW (Stafford). You will report directly to the Site Manager and your role will be providing setting out and quality control services to ensure that the contract works are constructed to the specification in an entirely safe manner, whilst maintaining appropriate site records.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with C.D.M. Regulations and compliance with the Company safe working practices.
- Setting out the works.
- Checking site work to ensure compliance with the specification and drawings.
- Agreement of site measurements and records with the client’s staff.
- Assist in maintaining drawing files, drawing register and site filling system.
- Liaise with the design department to ensure updated information is always used.
- Taking off quantities from drawings for measurement purposes and to assist in the preparation of requisitions.
- Assist in the preparation of the construction completion documentation.
- Ensure that the works are constructed to a good quality in line with the specification and good working practice.
- Ensure that the required quality records are maintained.
- In conjunction with other site staff, ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with current legislation, the company health & safety policy, procedures and safe working practices.
- It is vitally important that Site Engineers lead by example in terms of safety behaviours.
Essential and Desirable Qualifications & Skills
- BTEC National or HNC in Civil Engineering/Construction (minimum) or similar qualification.
- Experience using levelling & surveying equipment (total stations, GPS, robotics & automatic levels).
- Proficient with AutoCAD.
- First Aid at Work qualification (desirable).
- SSSTS certification (desirable).
- CSCS Supervisor card (desirable).
- EUSR licence (desirable).
- SHEA Water qualification (desirable).
