MWH Treatment is looking to strengthen their team with a Category Manager for our @one Alliance framework.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, your role is to support and develop the Portfolio and procurement strategies aligned to the business outcomes. This strategic role will focus on developing and managing our strategic partners and non-framework supply chain during the execution of project and portfolio requirements.

The overall challenge of this role is to outperform against the Procurement “Whitebook” initiative by driving efficiencies through strong negotiation, leadership, and supply chain management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, monitor, and implement sourcing agreements with Anglian Water.

  • Aggregate demand based on business needs while driving “Best for Task” and innovation through the supply chain.

  • Develop and implement SMART objectives/KPIs with supply chain partners to support on-time delivery and mitigate potential risks.

  • Gain extensive knowledge of the markets in which your category operates and monitor market risks (financial and capacity).

  • Conduct regular 360 review meetings with stakeholders to evaluate performance and identify value-added initiatives within the supply chain.

  • Engage and support the solution team to ensure the right supply chain is in place to outperform against delivery and procurement strategies.

  • Ensure all commercial requirements are submitted and audited to maximize overall commercial performance within the Alliance.

  • Implement SHEA processes and procedures throughout all deliverables.

To be considered for this procurement career opportunity, you should hold a CIPS Professional standard and membership (or equivalent) and have experience in a senior procurement/sourcing role. You should be resourceful and persuasive, embracing collaboration and innovation to meet deadlines. Demonstrating strong leadership skills, integrity, and accountability is essential.
