The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the UK Plant Quality Team in resolving all Quality related issues both Customer and Supplier. They will also be working alongside all departments to ensure the Quality management System is compliant to ISO standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage KAB QMS System, to ensure compliance to ISO9001 and progression to IATF16949.
- Facilitate Customer, Internal & Supplier related Quality issues from receipt of issue through to closure.
- Support multifunctional teams with issue investigation and problem-solving activities.
- Monitor open concessions to ensure actions are progressing and expiration dates are not exceeded.
- Communication on quality issues internally and externally.
- Maintain departmental KPIs and objectives, and support projects to support Customer Satisfaction.
- Identify areas for improvement to processes driven from internal and external quality issues.
- Compiling Quality Documents relating to New Product Introduction and interfacing with customers regarding product launch activity.
- Developing and improving Supplier Quality Performance.
- Completing Supplier Audits.
- Maintaining the Calibration system to IATF 16949 requirements.
- Manage Warranty process to ensure customer satisfaction.
Skill requirements
- Good written and verbal communication skills and be computer literate and proficient in MS Office.
- Quality Manager Experience.
- Experience of auditing or implementation of IATF16949.
- Experience in Process, Production or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Multi-skilled individual, who can interface with internal functions to facilitate business wide activity to support the QMS system.
- Have a minimum of 2 years' experience within the manufacturing industry and creation and reporting of quality KPI.
- Experience of auditing across multiple manufacturing functions with 'Internal auditor qualification to ISO9001:2015 & preferably to IATF 16949.
- Good communication and strong leadership skills.
- Degree in Quality / Engineering or 5 years’ experience in a Quality Role.
Working Hours – Monday – Thursday (7.00am – 4.00pm) Friday (07.00am – 11.00am)
Location – Round Spinney, Northampton (Office based)
Pension – 4% employer contribution
Annual Leave – 25 plus bank holidays
