A financial services institution wish to recruit a Risk Manager to play a pivotal role in establishing, implementing, and managing the company’s enterprise risk management (ERM) framework. This position involves identifying, assessing, and monitoring key risks, as well as collaborating with leadership to ensure appropriate mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, and prioritize risks across various business functions and develop risk profiles to inform decision-making.
- Design and implement the ERM framework, including policies, processes, and tools for assessing, managing, and mitigating risks.
- Continuously monitor risk indicators and emerging risks, preparing regular reports for senior management and the Board.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, Compliance, and IT, to ensure risks are managed effectively across the organization.
- Ensure the organization’s risk management activities align with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
- Lead or support responses to risk incidents, ensuring lessons learned are applied to mitigate future occurrences.
- Develop and deliver risk training and awareness programs to enhance risk culture across the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s or relevant certifications such as CRISC, FRM, or CERA preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years in risk management, preferably in enterprise or operational risk within relevant industry, e.g., financial services, technology, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for reporting to stakeholders.
- Proficient in risk management tools and software.
