MW Recruitment is working with a UK fixed income broker looking to add to its agency broking team. The client is flexible on level and will consider candidates ranging from earlier-career brokers with relevant market exposure through to experienced revenue generators with established institutional relationships.

The role is focused on agency execution and institutional client coverage across fixed income markets. Relevant product areas could include credit, gilts, European government bonds, supranationals, agencies, financials or broader fixed income.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Covering institutional clients across fixed income markets
  • Executing client orders on an agency basis
  • Sourcing liquidity and providing market colour
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with asset managers, hedge funds, wealth managers and other investor clients
  • Identifying trading opportunities and relevant axes across fixed income products
  • Working with the wider broking team to grow client activity and revenue

Relevant candidates are likely to have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Fixed income agency broking
  • Credit, gilts, government bonds, supranationals, agencies or financials
  • Institutional client coverage
  • Bond execution, liquidity sourcing and market colour
  • Existing client relationships, or the ability to develop a client base
  • A background with a broker, bank, wealth manager, investment platform or fixed income execution business

The client is open-minded on seniority, but candidates should bring relevant fixed income market exposure, commercial awareness and the ability to operate in a client-facing broking environment. For more experienced candidates, existing relationships and portable revenue would be advantageous.
