Our client is a specialist bank serving clients. They are seeking a Credit Analyst – Fund Solutions to join their UK Senior Credit team, supporting complex fund finance transactions across the UK, Europe and the US.
Role Overview
The role sits within the UK Senior Credit team, covering transactions originated by the Fund Solutions business. The team provides debt financing to closed-end private capital funds and fund managers throughout the lifecycle of their funds. Typical structures include capital call facilities, GP financing, NAV facilities and secondary fund leverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Credit Process and Deal Management
- Participate in Senior and Executive Credit Committee meetings for Fund Solutions transactions
- Analyse and assess new deals presented by the front office for UK Credit approval
- Review and document annual reviews, limit increases and amendments on existing facilities
- Research counterparties, markets and products, providing detailed insight to Credit and Risk stakeholders
- Prepare and present clear business, credit and financial analysis to Credit Committee members
- Articulate risk considerations and commercial rationale supporting or declining transactions
- Draft credit decisions, outcomes and conditions arising from Credit Committee meetings
- Work closely with Credit Administration to ensure an efficient end-to-end credit process, including preparation of credit summaries and minutes
- Prepare deal summaries and transaction updates for reporting to the board, rating agencies and other stakeholders
- Develop and enhance portfolio analytics using both quantitative and qualitative approaches
- Act as a key contact for credit reporting, ensuring accuracy and alignment with Risk Appetite and senior management expectations
- Contribute to IRB model discussions and associated project outputs
Skills and Experience
- Finance degree or newly qualified ACA or equivalent
- Significant experience in a similar role within banking, finance or accounting
- Exposure to Fund Finance, Leveraged Finance or transaction-focused credit roles
- Strong ability to review financial statements and assess credit strength and risks
- Working knowledge of debt, equity and fund structures
- Experience evaluating risk and return in fund finance, debt or leveraged transactions
- Good understanding of private equity markets, industry trends and macroeconomic drivers
- Strong general credit analysis skills with the ability to adapt analysis to different counterparties and products
- Interest in credit risk and risk management
- Strong MS Office capability
