Our client is a global-first insurtech MGA, reshaping how insurance is delivered to contractors, recruitment agencies, and small businesses across the UK, Europe, and the USA. Their AI-powered insurance validation module is transforming compliance, speed, and distribution in a traditionally slow-moving sector.

They are now seeking an experienced and well-connected Commercial Broker to scale their Business Liability Insurance offering for recruitment agencies and payroll companies. This role is ideal for someone with deep commercial insurance knowledge, underwriting experience, and a strong broker or recruitment network.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Act as a commercial broker for the Business Liability Insurance line, focused on recruitment and payroll clients with turnovers up to £100M.
  • Leverage your broker and client network to grow new business across the UK, EU, and US.
  • Work directly with underwriters at Accelerant to discuss bespoke risks, negotiate pricing, and shape underwriting criteria.
  • Assess complex client needs and coverage structures to tailor bespoke packages aligned with underwriting appetite.
  • Represent the business to brokers and clients—explaining how the AI-powered validation tool automates compliance and de-risks recruitment supply chains.
  • Educate partners and clients on the benefits of the instant quote & bind platform, which provides coverage in under 30 seconds across multiple geographies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on onboarding and supporting delivery of white-labeled broker portals.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Broker or Account Executive within business liability insurance, ideally with recruitment, payroll, or umbrella clients.
  • Underwriting experience or a strong grasp of underwriting processes and pricing models.
  • Ability to assess bespoke risks and secure terms from insurers and MGAs.
  • Familiarity with cover lines: Professional Indemnity, Public Liability, Employers’ Liability, Crime, Cyber, and Business Interruption.
  • A strong broker or commercial client network across the UK and EU, ideally also the US.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence in presenting solutions to clients and partners.
  • Genuine interest in insurtech, automation, and AI in modern commercial insurance.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, agile environment with autonomy and accountability.
