Our client is a specialist AI software company seeking a commercially driven Business Development Executive to join their growing sales team. This is a remote role offering uncapped commission and the opportunity to work within a fast-paced, innovative technology environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, building relationships with senior decision-makers, and expanding the company’s presence within its established niche market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively generate new business opportunities through outbound sales activity and relationship building
  • Engage and build relationships with C-Suite stakeholders including CEOs, CTOs, CIOs and senior business leaders
  • Work closely with the data and marketing teams to identify, qualify and action high-quality leads
  • Conduct client meetings both virtually and face-to-face across the UK
  • Travel to client sites to deliver presentations, demonstrations and commercial discussions
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through to negotiation and close
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company’s AI software solutions and communicate their commercial value effectively
  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective clients and strategic opportunities
  • Maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline reporting within the CRM system
  • Represent the business professionally at client meetings, networking events and industry engagements

Requirements

  • Proven experience within business development, B2B sales or enterprise sales
  • Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and C-Suite decision-makers
  • Strong communication, presentation and relationship management skills
  • Confident managing outbound sales activity and developing new client relationships
  • Self-motivated, commercially focused and target-driven
  • Comfortable travelling to client meetings as required
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
  • Full UK driving licence preferred

The ideal candidate will have proven business-to-business sales experience with a can-do attitude.

  • Experience working closely with marketing or data teams to develop lead generation strategies
