A well established Investment Manager is seeking an experienced Institutional relationship manager to join the International Institutional team in London on a fixed-term maternity cover. This is a pivotal client-facing role focused on delivering exceptional client experience, deepening strategic relationships and supporting the growth of the institutional client base.
Main Duties
- Act as the senior day-to-day steward of the overall client experience across a portfolio of international institutional relationships.
- Serve as the principal contact for clients, delivering responsive, high-quality and solutions oriented relationship management tailored to clients’ unique needs.
- Build trusted relationships with key client stakeholders and influencers through consistent, insightful and consultative engagement.
- Provide clients with thoughtful access to institutional investment strategies, market insights, events and broader firm resources.
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of investment strategies, market developments and relevant industry trends.
- Lead regular discussions with clients on investment performance, portfolio developments and market dynamics in partnership with the investment team.
- Coordinate and optimise client meetings, reviews and consultations to ensure a well prepared, high-impact client interaction.
- Record client activity accurately within Salesforce and prepare periodic reporting on engagement activity and relationship priorities.
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree required; degree in finance, economics, business or a related discipline preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in institutional relationship management, client service or a comparable role within asset management or a related industry.
- Demonstrated success managing complex institutional client relationships with a high degree of professionalism and commercial judgement.
- Familiarity with direct institutional asset owners, investment consultants and global institutional distribution channels.
- Strong track record of building credibility with sophisticated institutional investors and other professional allocators.
- Strategic, consultative and relationship-led approach, with an inquisitive mindset, strong influencing skills and sound decision-making judgement.
