A well established Investment Manager wishes to recruit a Data Analyst. The successful candidate will work with the Head of Middle Office and CTO to define all aspects of supporting data visualisation and development, including: tool selection, dashboard construction, implementation, security, training and support.
Main Duties:
- Lead as a BI subject matter expert.
- Developing insight solutions aligned to strategic initiatives that deliver simple, compelling and actionable data visualisations.
- Work with Development Team to define and load data from multiple sources and ensure the successful creation and support of accurate Data Models to support the Visualisation requirements of the business.
- Making recommendations to improve data presentation methods and systems to refine and grow reporting and analysis capabilities.
- Preparing and presenting rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.
- Linking reporting needs to existing systems and helping identify solutions that provide the best business value.
Competencies and Personal Skills:
- Experienced Data Analyst – ideally with significant Power BI experience.
- Strong understanding of Data Modelling.
- Understanding and Scripting capability in modern RDBMS, ideally SQL Server or Oracle.
- Attention to detail for data accuracy.
- Able to lead projects as well as support projects.
- Effective communicator (verbal/written form).
- Investment Management industry awareness.
