Experienced Garden maintenance operative required in the Stockport area. We currently have an opportunity available for someone in the Stockport area to join our garden maintenance round. Applicant must be hardworking, reliable, punctual, polite and willing to work in all weather conditions.
We specialize in Garden maintenance, both commercial & domestic. Jobs that will be required of applicant include:
- Mowing using self-driven rotary petrol mower (typically Honda/Hayter)
- Correctly using a petrol strimmer for grass edges
- Weeding and border work
- Hedge trimming using Stihl petrol hedge cutters
- Pruning
- General plant/weed knowledge
- Leaf and debris clearing using petrol blower, rake & brush etc.
Preferred requirements of applicant:
- Experience in garden maintenance
- Confident to occasionally work alone or become a team leader
- Knowledge on plants and petrol tools
- Must be prepared to work in all weather conditions all year round
- Abilities to communicate well with customers and work colleagues
- UK driving license
At the moment we have 2-3 days a week available. By mid-March this will be 4-5 days. Given the seasonal nature of the job, applicants should expect more hours & days in the spring, summer & autumn with slightly less in the winter.
Typical working hours are 8am-4pm. Hourly pay is £12.50-£15.00 depending on age & capabilities. It is crucial that applicants can get to Stockport, Offerton area for 8am each morning. Please do not apply for this job if this will be an issue.
