Reinsurance Broking Technician

The role in a nutshell …

Processing and full-service administration of proportional treaty accounts together with claims recoveries for XoL contracts.

This will include …

* Externally, build trusted relationships with Cedants and Reinsurers to resolve queries and provide a market leading service standard.

* Internally, collaborate with colleagues in the London HQ and in overseas branch offices to ensure the accurate and timely placement and servicing of accounts.

* Process proportional treaty accounts and calculate premium adjustments in accordance with the slip conditions.

* Maintain reconciliations of technical accounts.

* Monitor/review technical position of treaty accounts and premium adjustments.

* Process and oversee XoL claims/reinstatements from first advice to settlement.

* Provide pro-active credit control on designated accounts and manage collections & payments.

* Analyse data and create a variety of different statistical reports.

* Ensure compliance to external regulatory frameworks and Company procedures.

* Ensure all digital and paper files are up-to-date and accurate.

What you need to show …

* Understanding of Lloyds / London (re)insurance market

* Knowledge of Treaty Technical Processing (mainly proportional treaty accounts) from a broking or carrier perspective.

* Experience dealing with XL claims and credit control (not essential)

* Client servicing

* Accuracy and attention to detail

* Possess a team working ethos.

* Work in an organised way and be able to prioritise workflow.
