About the Role – In this role the Reinsurance Manager (without direct reports) will report directly to the CUO and hold a wide brief across all aspects of the reinsurance protection programme.
Responsibilities –
- Establish and improve the company's reinsurance risk management system, formulate and implement the company's reinsurance business management system, clarifying the work procedures and management authority, and implementing risk supervision and verification;
- Responsible for reinsurance channel development, reinsurance network construction, and credit management of reinsurance recipients and reinsurance brokers;
- Responsible for the annual treaty renewal and purchasing
- Responsible for the daily management of the reinsurance business according to the company's business structure and risk statuses such as renewal of reinsurance contract, facultative reinsurance, and commission fee;
- Responsible for the functional maintenance and improvement of the reinsurance system;
- Responsible for statistical analysis of reinsurance business and disclosure and submission of external reinsurance information.
- Responsible for lead the reinsurance settlements and payments; check the inputs information on GIS, and liaising with our Finance team on the monthly, quarterly and half yearly Statement of Accounts.
- Proactively assist with yearly internal audit queries and material submission
Qualifications – 6+ years’ experience in reinsurance
Required Skills –
- Good knowledge of reinsurance market, policies, and procedures with first-hand experience of implementation of these
- Excellent collaboration skills, interpersonal skills, project management skills, analytical skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team while meeting meaningful deadlines
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills, self-motivated and ability to multi-task while managing priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills.
- Good skills in MS office (Excel, Word, PPT) Outlook and internet applications
Pay range and compensation package
– Permanent contract
– Salary to £85,000 depending on expertise and experience
