We have an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join the amazing team at a small animal veterinary hospital in the Southend area, Essex.
Key Features
- Full‑time hours worked over 4 days a week, including 1 in 4 weekends on a rota; no out‑of‑hours. (Part‑time hours may be considered.)
- Practice is a 24‑hour RCVS accredited small animal hospital with superb facilities and state‑of‑the‑art equipment, including a CT scanner.
- Role suits an experienced veterinary surgeon with good surgical and medical skills.
- Interesting, wide and varied caseload provides excellent development opportunities.
- Fantastic team of 14 Vet Surgeons, including surgical and medical certificate holders and others pursuing certificates in surgery, orthopaedics, cardiology, exotics and medicine.
- Generous CPD allowance with funding towards certificates.
- Paid RCVS, BVA memberships and VDS fees.
- Wonderful place to live and work – just 30 minutes by train from London, direct transport links to Southend and Stansted airports and 25 minutes from the coast.
Person Requirements
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent.
- Registered with the RCVS.
- Experienced veterinary surgeon.
- Good surgical and medical skills.
