We are now recruiting for a Head Vet to lead and manage the team at a first opinion small animal practice in the Tamworth area of Staffordshire.

Responsibilities

  • Work 4 days a week and 1 in 3 Saturdays, with no Sundays or OOH.
  • Support and lead a clinical team with a focus on clinical excellence, with strong backing from an experienced management team.
  • Contribute to the ongoing investment and refurbishment of facilities and implementation of up-to-date technologies and equipment.
  • Lead a team of clinicians while mentoring and supporting others as needed.
  • Explore potential partnership opportunities if desired.
  • Be part of a team consisting of 4 vets, 6 nurses, 3 receptionists and 2 practice managers.
  • Encourage and support further study toward veterinary management courses or clinical qualifications; funding is available.
  • Provide a great place to live and work in central England, with good transport links and access to motorways and Birmingham International Airport.

Person Requirements

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent.
  • Registered with the RCVS.
  • Good experience in practice with strong clinical skills.
  • Experience in leading a clinical team or supporting/mentoring a team.
