We have an excellent opportunity for a Head Veterinary Surgeon to lead and manage the team at a small animal veterinary practice in Chelmsford area ESSEX
- full time permanent opportunity working 4 days per week (9am- 7pm) including 1:4 weekends on a rota basis and no OOH.
- practice is purpose built with great facilities and up to date equipment and technologies including; ultrasound, digital x-ray, multiparameter monitoring, in-house laboratory etc.
- we are pleased to offer this fantastic opportunity for either an existing Head Vet looking for change or an experienced or Senior Vet looking to progress.
- you will need strong experience in practice (at least 4 years’ + ) and be able to lead, mentor and manage a clinical team.
- caseload offers a full spectrum of first opinion (predominantly dogs and cats, alongside some small furries and exotics) cases with a wide surgical caseload
- specific interests are encouraged and post graduate qualification or certificate supported
- join a fantastic team of 3 Veterinary Surgeons (including 1 New Graduate Vet) that meet regularly outside of work socially
- CPD allowance and certificate study encouraged and funded.
- Superb location in pretty Essex location with excellent transport links and direct rail services into London Liverpool Street in under 45 minutes.
Person Requirements
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
- Registered with the RCVS
- ideally experience in a Clinical Lead or Senior position
- at least 4 years’+ experience working in small animal practice in UK
- Strong clinical skills
- able to lead, mentor and manage a clinical team.
