We are NOW recruiting for a Head Vet Nurse to lead and manage the nursing team at a growing small animal veterinary practice in the Hertford area of Hertfordshire near the greater London/Essex borders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and manage the nursing team and oversee the day-to-day running of the clinical team.
  • Join a dynamic team in a supportive and friendly working environment.
  • Full-time role including 1 in 3 Saturday mornings; no Sundays and no OOH.
  • Work in a purpose-built, well-equipped practice with ultrasound, digital X-ray, in-house laboratory with microscope, capnography with pulse oximetry, and a theatre dedicated to sterile procedures.
  • Manage a wide and varied caseload with loyal local clients and a high percentage of insured pets.

Requirements

  • Qualified Vet Nurse Registered with RCVS
  • Good experience in first opinion practice
  • Strong nursing skills
  • Managerial experience

Salary & Benefits
