Night Veterinary Surgeon (Night Vet) – permanent position on a 7 nights on / 14 nights off rota at a small animal veterinary hospital in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
Key responsibilities include:
- 30‑minute out‑of‑hours consults
- Performing caesarean sections
- Managing pyometra
- Exploratory laparotomy with enterotomy and enterectomy
- Managing complex medical cases such as Addison’s disease, keto‑acidotic diabetic crises and severe pancreatitis
The role requires working nights alongside a dedicated night team (night nurse, night veterinary clinical assistant, reception cover until 10 pm and twilight nurse until midnight).
Qualifications:
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine
- Registered with the RCVS
- Previous out‑of‑hours/ECC veterinary experience preferred
