Night Veterinary Surgeon (Night Vet) – permanent position on a 7 nights on / 14 nights off rota at a small animal veterinary hospital in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Key responsibilities include:

  • 30‑minute out‑of‑hours consults
  • Performing caesarean sections
  • Managing pyometra
  • Exploratory laparotomy with enterotomy and enterectomy
  • Managing complex medical cases such as Addison’s disease, keto‑acidotic diabetic crises and severe pancreatitis

The role requires working nights alongside a dedicated night team (night nurse, night veterinary clinical assistant, reception cover until 10 pm and twilight nurse until midnight).

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine
  • Registered with the RCVS
  • Previous out‑of‑hours/ECC veterinary experience preferred
