We are NOW recruiting for a Vet Surgeon to join a successful first opinion small animal veterinary practice near to the City of Durham area in the North East of England.
Excellent full time opportunity 40 hours a week including 1 in 4 Saturdays on a rota and no Sundays, no OOH (part time hours may also be considered). The practice is purpose built with up to date equipment and technologies including ultrasound, digital and dental x-ray, endoscopy/laparoscopy etc.
We are ideally looking for a vet with a minimum of 3 years experience who is confident with routine consults and surgery and happy to sometimes work sole charge. Great opportunity to work alongside certificate holders in surgery, dentistry, imaging, cardiology and minimally invasive surgery. There is also an opportunity to adopt a more senior role mentoring the less experienced members of our team/GDP advisory role if desired. Join a large and supportive team that enjoy socialising outside of work. CPD funding and certificates are supported and encouraged. Well located to enjoy the historic cities of Durham and York with easy access to outstanding beaches and beautiful countryside.
Person Requirements- Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
- Registered with the RCVS
- Ideally 3 years + experience
- Confident with routine consults and surgery
- Happy to sometimes work sole charge.
- Salary to £70,000.00 per annum (subject to experience)
