We are now recruiting for a Vet Surgeon to join the team at a first opinion small animal veterinary practice near the city of Durham in the North East.

Excellent opportunity working 40 hours a week with a 1 in 4 Saturday rota and no Sundays, no out of hours. The practice is a very busy and varied practice and is very well equipped including; CT Scanner, ultrasound, digital and dental x-ray and endoscopy/laparoscopy etc.

Ideally you will be a Vet Surgeon with some experience, confident with routine consults and surgery and happy to sometimes work sole charge. Join a friendly, welcoming veterinary team including certificate holders in surgery, dentistry, imaging, cardiology and minimally invasive surgery.

The role offers a great development opportunity with career progression actively encouraged. CPD allowance and Certificate study supported. Well located with easy access to the historic cities of Durham and also York with outstanding beaches and beautiful countryside also nearby.

Person Requirements
  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
  • Registered with the RCVS
  • Confident with routine consults and surgery
  • Happy to sometimes work sole charge.
