The Opportunity
We are partnering with a market-leading UK logistics specialist currently undergoing a period of growth. As they expand, they are looking for a motivated Project Manager to join the team and support the delivery of a variety of operational workstreams. This is an ideal role for a project professional who enjoys the pace of logistics and is looking to step into a position with more responsibility. You will lead on key projects—from new customer implementations to site improvements—while working as part of a wider, supportive project team that ensures you have the tools to succeed.
The Role
- Project Delivery: Take the lead on designated projects from start to finish, ensuring milestones are met and operations are ready for "go-live."
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior project leaders to align your workstreams with the broader business strategy.
- Operational Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for site managers and regional teams, ensuring project changes are bedded in smoothly on the ground.
- Reporting & Governance: Maintain accurate project documentation, tracking timelines and resource allocation to keep everything on schedule and within budget.
About You
We are looking for a proactive Project Manager who is comfortable in a fast-moving 3PL or supply chain environment. You should be someone who isn’t afraid to get stuck in on-site to understand how a project impacts the warehouse floor.
- Sector Experience: Solid experience working within Logistics, 3PL, or a high-volume Supply Chain environment.
- Project Foundation: You’ve previously managed or played a key role in delivering logistics projects, such as site transitions or equipment rollouts.
- Methodology: Familiarity with MS Project and SharePoint; a Prince2 or APM qualification (or working towards one) would be a plus.
- Communication: The ability to communicate clearly with everyone from warehouse operatives to department heads.
- Mobility: Full UK driving license and a willingness to travel across the UK, depending on where active projects are happening.
Why Join?
This is a brilliant opportunity for a mid-level PM to join a collaborative, low-ego environment. You’ll get the autonomy to lead your own projects, backed by the mentorship and resources of an established national network.
