MVP is partnering with a progressive, multiple-award-winning logistics business to recruit a Stock Control Manager to join their operations team at a busy distribution centre in Sunbury on Thames. This newly created role comes as a result of continued growth and development, offering the opportunity to make your mark within a successful, expanding warehouse and distribution operation.
As Stock Control Manager, you’ll oversee inventory management across the site, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely reporting. Working closely with the management and operations team, you’ll optimise stock processes, maintain service standards, and support a high-performing warehouse operation.
What you’ll be doing:
- Maintain accurate stock levels and inventory records for multiple clients.
- Conduct daily analysis and forecasting to prevent inventory issues.
- Develop, implement, and improve stock control procedures and best practices.
- Liaise with the Operations Manager, colleagues, customers, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure all reports, QC checks, and operational tasks are completed on time and to standard.
- Manage and develop your team through coaching, delegation, and performance management.
- Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, quality, and hygiene standards.
- Embody and promote the company’s values.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in inventory or stock management (minimum 2 years).
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and work independently.
- Good leadership and team building skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and WMS (warehouse management systems) – ideally BlueYonder.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships at all levels.
- Ability to train and support staff, delegate effectively, and drive continuous improvement.
- Educated to A-level standard or equivalent.
- Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or willingness to train; IOSH training desirable.
