Are you ready to take on a diverse role within a successful and expanding business? As Warehouse Operations Support, you'll support the warehouse management team with day to day operational activities. Driven by a customer-centric attitude to deliver excellence to this company's customers, you'll ensure quality standards are met at every turn. You'll be expected to use your initiative to solve problems and overcome day to day challenges by working cohesively with colleagues. You'll also be the Subject Matter Expert on warehouse processes and procedures including across the MHE fleet.
What You'll Do:
- Provide training of new processes and support new starters.
- Work with the management team to monitor performance, ensuring the team are motivated to work at their full potential.
- Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency utilising the WMS (Warehouse Management System).
- Assist with training warehouse employees and monitoring team performance, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal.
- Communicate with the commercial team and with customers.
- Solve day to day operational issues in conjunction with the management team and the warehouse team.
- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards while complying with legal regulations.
- Use Microsoft applications for admin tasks as required.
- Ensure all Despatch parcels and pallets are prepared ready for collection.
- Safe and timely loading and unloading of vehicles.
- Cycle counts and stock takes, put away of stock, replenishment of stock into Pick Face.
- End of shift handover reporting.
- Closure securing facility.
- MHE checks are completed before use of machinery on shift, ensuring MHE is charged accordingly.
- New starter inductions and training.
What We're Looking For:
- Strong knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy.
- Enthusiastic personality to influence and coach colleagues.
- MHE licenses - eg Counterbalance, PPT, ideally VNA / Aisle Master.
- Able to work well under pressure and manage effectively to tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures for warehouse operations.
- Strong tech and system skills - ideally previous WMS experience.
- Great problem-solving abilities and confidence in decision-making.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
- Ideally - Fire Marshall / First Aid experience.
