PM Transport Operations Supervisor
Commutable from Rochdale, Oldham, Ashton under Lyne, Manchester
Monday to Friday 14:00 – 22:00

MVP’s client, an award-winning national logistics business, is seeking an experienced PM Transport Supervisor to join their thriving team. This crucial role, working Monday to Friday from 14:00 to 22:00, is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term position within a dynamic operation.

You'll be instrumental in upholding high quality levels and performance standards, all while promoting best-in-class safety practices. What You'll Be Delivering:
- Daily satisfaction of all customer transport requirements.
- Serving as a key management liaison for customer interactions.
- Optimising the coordination of internal fleet and sub-contractors for maximum cost-effectiveness.
- Leading day-to-day driver management, focusing on team development, training, and operational efficiency.
- Strategic management of suppliers (sub-contractors, agencies, maintenance) to control operational spend.
- Ensuring peak reliability and presentation through regular driver, vehicle, and trailer checks.
- Guaranteeing full adherence to all company internal processes, procedures, and O-License legislative demands.
- Compiling and presenting weekly management information reports.
What You'll Bring to the Role:
- Previous experience gained in transport operations.
- Strong organisational and planning capabilities.
- A track record of responsible, ethical, and honest conduct.
- A solid understanding of current UK transport operations and legislation.
- Either holding a Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers or a clear commitment to obtaining this qualification.
- Ideally, practical experience with O-Licence compliance.
- Strong IT proficiency, including familiarity with fleet and transport management software.
- Excellent self-motivation and the ability to work effectively without direct supervision.
