As a Writer, you will write new product and company reviews, how-to guides, and both topical and commercially oriented articles that will bring targeted, high-quality traffic to the websites. Update existing articles to improve their overall quality and ensure the information on the site is up-to-date, fresh, and relevant. Conduct background research, including site visits, surveys or in-depth interviews to better understand our audience’s pain points, and to gather experts’ opinions and views. Fact-check, edit, revise, review and proofread work especially in response to feedback. Work with other teams to improve processes, brand exposure and the website overall.

About Tech.co: Tech.co started out as a simple community-building event back in 2006, and has transformed into a fully-fledged media company, having been acquired by MVF in 2017. We have recently surpassed an audience of more than one million monthly readers, and we are looking for another creative and ambitious Writer or Senior Writer to join the team. The selected candidate will be covering the latest technology news, testing and reviewing software, and pitching in with our social media activity. We target a US-based audience and write about everything B2B tech including:
- Cybersecurity and privacy - e.g. hacks, scams and products including VPNs & antivirus software.
- Communications - tools for remote working, VoIP software, and web conferencing.
- Productivity and working conditions for small businesses/startups.
- Digital marketing including social media platforms and news.
- Accounting and payment systems for small retail, restaurant, service, and office-based businesses in the states.
- Emerging tech and trends from AI chatbots to our unique reports.
Our aim at Tech.co is to help our readers in the US and beyond understand the world of tech and ensure that they have all the information they need to make purchasing decisions with confidence. These days, every company is a tech company - but choosing the right software can be pretty complicated. That’s where we come in. We work with a team of researchers who help us to understand the challenges faced by our audience, and support us as we demystify the process of choosing the best tech solutions.
About you: You will have:
- A passion for content combined with excellent writing ability.
- An interest in tech, such as the latest developments at Google and Microsoft, as well as emerging tech startups, the newest AI features and working trends such as the rise of the 4-day week.
- Previous experience writing web content such as news, guides and reviews (ideally for a B2B website or site with related topical areas).
- Experience working with a CMS (WordPress preferred).
