The Role

We are building a world-class team of Marketing and Commercial Strategy Analysts to accelerate growth across our global digital portfolios.

This unique position offers exposure to leadership from an early stage and the autonomy to act as a strategic business owner, directly managing marketing mix, client budget delivery, and gross profit-and-loss outcomes for your portfolio. The role is also highly collaborative, with you working as both insight-creator and action-setter, partnering with others to set big commercial goals and achieve them.

We are looking for analytical thinkers, strong team-players, and proactive, ambitious individuals who are excited by the prospect of delivering long-term strategies to amplify customer and client success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and optimise day-on-day, month-on-month, and year-on-year commercial performance using data across your portfolio
  • Set and communicate long-term strategies for your portfolio that balance higher gross profit margins and improved client happiness
  • Identify trends in client performance data versus their target metrics, outlining actions that positively influence their Return-on-Investment
  • Collaborate with other team members in the sales, marketing, tech, and other relevant departments on key projects that drive growth
  • Build a picture of monthly client budgets, where we’re missing them, and steps we can take with our marketing teams to close the gap
  • Understand the basics of digital marketing channels, supporting with competitor and market analysis to match the most valuable customers with clients that best suit their needs
  • Develop an understanding of different monetisation models (e.g., Cost per Lead, Cost per Click, Cost per Appointment) to better access and deliver new and existing client budgets
  • Build and own processes that increase efficiency and alignment across both your own and the wider team’s priorities
  • Organise teams, lead internal meetings, and craft internal- and client-facing presentations that pinpoint choices that nurture growth
  • Use in-house products, data visualisation platforms (such as Looker), and machine learning and AI tools to build solutions that help monitor your portfolio’s performance

Our Ideal MVFer…

  • has a commercial mindset: they possess a strong commercial instinct and are interested in both how MVF and other businesses build their long-term profitability - if our clients aren’t happy, MVF cannot grow!
  • is highly analytical: they are curious in understanding the "why" behind a problem, utilising their data manipulation, trend-spotting, and logic skills to identify strategic insights
  • balances autonomy with teamwork: they effectively navigate fast-paced, changing priorities by taking ownership of their personal to-do list and drawing on the experiences and knowledge of the teams around them whenever necessary
  • is a strong communicator: they can articulate complex ideas concisely and possess both strong verbal and written communication skills to tell effective stories about where we’ve been and where we’re going
  • thrives on self-development: they display a growth mindset, holding themselves to high standards, and both give and welcome great constructive feedback
  • owns their decisions: they build consensus among working groups, propose optimisations with confidence, and acknowledge and learn from their mistakes
  • builds an inclusive environment: they demonstrate positivity and resilience, earning the trust of those around them, and are supportive of others’ goals and motivations
  • is ambitious for themselves and their teams: they are open to being challenged and are prepared to effectively challenge others in the pursuit of delivering personal and strategic goals
