London Hybrid MVA International is partnering with a leading global financial advisory firm to appoint a Director within its growing Accounting and Financial Reporting Advisory practice in London. This is not a traditional Financial Due Diligence position. We are looking for an experienced advisory professional who combines strong technical accounting and transaction execution expertise with the commercial ability to develop senior client relationships and originate new mandates.

The Role

  • You will advise private equity sponsors, corporates, investment banks and financial institutions on the accounting and financial reporting implications of complex transactions, including:
    • M&A and business combinations
    • IPOs and capital markets transactions
    • Carve-outs and separation programmes
    • Restructurings and debt financings
    • Purchase price accounting
    • Pro forma and transaction-related financial reporting
    • IFRS and US GAAP accounting matters
  • You will also:
    • Lead complex domestic and cross-border advisory engagements
    • Develop relationships with CFOs, boards, investors, sponsors and investment banks
    • Originate and convert new business opportunities
    • Work alongside Transaction Services, Valuations, Restructuring and Corporate Finance teams
    • Recruit, mentor and develop high-performing advisory professionals
    • Contribute directly to the continued growth and development of the London practice

About You

We would like to speak with established Directors, Senior Directors or Managing Directors who offer:

  • Significant experience in Accounting Advisory, Transaction Accounting or Capital Markets Advisory
  • A background within a Big Four firm or leading international advisory business
  • An ACA, CA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP
  • Experience advising on complex M&A, IPO, carve-out or capital markets assignments
  • A demonstrable record of developing senior client relationships and winning advisory work
