Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role based in Grantham for an Automotive Painter. The Automotive Painter will be responsible for preparing and painting commercial vehicles, ensuring high-quality finishes. Day-to-day tasks include sanding, priming, masking, mixing paints, and applying topcoats as needed. The role also entails maintaining tools and equipment, adhering to safety standards, and ensuring timely completion of projects while achieving customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in vehicle preparation processes such as sanding, masking, and priming for painting
• Technical expertise in mixing paints, color matching, and applying paint using spray guns or other techniques
• Ability to ensure quality control, including inspecting finished work for excellence in workmanship
• Knowledge of and adherence to health and safety standards in an automotive painting environment
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines
• Experience working with commercial/heavy vehicles is preferred
• Previous experience as an automotive painter or in a related field is required
• Apprenticeship, certification in automotive painting, or equivalent experience is a plus
